The OnePlus Ace 6 is now here to replace last year's Ace 5, which OnePlus re-branded as the OnePlus 13R globally (curr. $526 on Amazon). In short, the OnePlus Ace 6 departs from its predecessor in terms of design and performance, just like the OnePlus 15 that has also launched today.
In the Ace 6's case, it adopts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite used in last year's OnePlus 13. Additionally, OnePlus includes a larger AMOLED display, which grows from 6.78-inches to 6.83-inches with a 2,800 x 1,272-pixel resolution, 1,800 nits peak brightness and 60/90/120/144/165 Hz refresh rate modes. Please keep in mind that 144 Hz and 165 Hz modes are only available in some scenarios rather than across all apps and UI elements.
Moreover, the Ace 6 boasts a 7,800 mAh battery with support for 120 W wired charging, which are both upgrades over the Ace 5's capabilities in these areas. Also, the new handset finds itself with a 50 MP and 24 mm primary camera boasting an f/1.8 aperture and two-axis OIS. Unfortunately, OnePlus has removed a telephoto camera for this generation while retaining the 16 mm, 112˚ and 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera from the Ace 5.
The OnePlus Ace 6 starts at CNY 2,599 (~$366) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in a choice of Black, Flash White and Quicksilver colour options. Alternatively, OnePlus offers the Ace 6 for CNY 3,899 (~$549) with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It is worth noting that the Quicksilver variant can only be configured with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for CNY 3,399 (~$478), though.
