The OnePlus Ace 5 has launched in China as a more affordable alternative to the OnePlus 13. It has an improved Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for smooth and fast gameplay and boasts the biggest battery inside a OnePlus smartphone.

Following the launch of the OnePlus 13 flagship in China, OnePlus has announced the OnePlus Ace 5 as the newest model in its Ace line of affordable flagship phones. The OnePlus Ace 5 arrives alongside the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Both phones share several features in common but there are enough differences that set them apart.

The OnePlus Ace 5 has a 6.78-inch flat 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K (2780 × 1264) resolution and Oppo Crystal Shield Glass for protection. The screen has a high brightness mode of 1600 nits and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. It can intelligently refresh between 1-120Hz and has support for DC dimming, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.

As is the case with the non-pro Ace models, the processor is the flagship chip used in the previous generation number series. So it's no surprise that the OnePlus Ace 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor found inside the OnePlus 12. OnePlus has optimized the chipset for improved gaming performance and has worked with a few game developers to improve how their games run on the Ace 5. The phone is available to buy with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

OnePlus has equipped the Ace 5 with a 50MP primary camera. It is a Sony IMX906 sensor with OIS. It also has an 8MP 112° ultrawide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera, further extending the life of its 2MP camera curse. The front-facing camera is a 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor.

The OnePlus Ace 5 also has Oppo's Crystal Shield Glass on the back just like the recently-announced Oppo A5 Pro, but there's a special edition with a ceramic back. The phone is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance. It also has multi-functional NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 with an ultra-long range mode (up to 400 meters), dual SIM support, an IR blaster, a three-stage Alert Slider, and stereo speakers.

OnePlus has equipped the Ace 5 with the biggest battery capacity ever in the series. It is a 6,415mAh Si-Carbon battery with support for 80W fast charging (charger included). The phone runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. It is available in Black, Titanium, and Celadon Ceramic.
