The Ace 5 Pro is a version of OnePlus' Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Android flagship with certain advantages exclusive to the Chinese market, a larger 6,100mAh battery and a purple colorway unavailable in the 13 for the rest of the world included.
The Pro does also has its drawbacks, the most glaring of which might be the lack of the 1440p display resolution and advanced IP68/69-rated build quality found in the 13. Those are things that could be fixed in its allegedly impending Ultimate Edition.
The Ace 5 series' possible swansong is now backed to launch "soon", according to the typically accurate veteran leaker Digital Chat Station.
Accordingly, it is likely to reprise the "120fps" Fengchi Gaming Core augments (that also feature in the new 13T) for the flagship Qualcomm silicon it shares with the OnePlus 13 - although the new Dimensity 9400+ from MediaTek might also be an option.
The Ace 5 Pro also runs ColorOS 15 rather than OxygenOS 15 and lacks premium Hasselblad branding for its 50MP main sensor rear cameras, the latter of which is also an area in which the "Ultimate Edition" could improve.
