Just a few days after launching the OnePlus 13T in China, OnePlus has announced it has a new smartphone coming to India. The new smartphone which will launch as the OnePlus 13s first leaked a few weeks ago. However, instead of an entirely different device, the OnePlus 13s seems to be a rebadge of the China-exclusive OnePlus 13T based on the images of the phone.
The official OnePlus India social media accounts have already begun advertising the OnePlus 13s ahead of its release, although a date is yet to be announced. Nevertheless, the company has already revealed a few important details.
For starters, the posters show the OnePlus 13s shares a striking resemblance to the OnePlus 13T. Even though OnePlus won't admit that it is a rebadge, it is plain to see. The OnePlus 13s will be available in only two colors — Black and Pink — instead of three like the OnePlus 13T. OnePlus has also confirmed that the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6.32-inch display.
Since this is a rebadge of the OnePlus 13T, we can fill in the rest of the spec sheet, although one shouldn't rule out the possibility of a few changes as is the case with the OnePlus 13R (available on Best Buy for $599.99) and its Chinese counterpart, the OnePlus Ace 5.
The OnePlus 13s should have an LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It should also have dual 50MP rear cameras one of which has a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. While the front camera is expected to be a 16MP sensor like that of the OnePlus 13T, the leak from a few weeks ago said the OnePlus 13s has a 32MP selfie camera.
The 13s should also have a 6,260mAh battery capacity and support for 80W fast wired charging. Although there's the possibility of a smaller battery capacity and or slower charging speed as it did with the OnePlus 13R which has a smaller battery capacity than the OnePlus Ace 5. There's also the chance of the phone having RAM and storage configurations different from that of the OnePlus 13T. Finally, the OnePlus 13s should ship with OxygenOS 15 instead of ColorOS 15.
OnePlus hasn't revealed any plans of the OnePlus 13s being available in any other region save for India at the moment, so it is impossible to say if the phone will be sold in Europe and North America.
