In 2020, a Nokia-branded laptop called the Nokia PureBook X14 was released in India. It was the first Nokia laptop in a long while, but it wasn't manufactured by Nokia, but by India's Flipkart as part of a licensing deal. However, it wasn't only Flipkart that had a licensing deal to manufacture Nokia-branded laptops.
Off Global, a French start-up announced in 2022 that it had an agreement to design, manufacture, and sell Nokia-branded laptops in 22 countries. Its first model, the Nokia PureBook Pro, was released in February of the same year. Now, the company has reportedly shut down.
In its three years of existence, Off Global released only three Nokia laptops — the Nokia Purebook Pro, the Nokia Purebook Lite 14.1 2-in-1, and the Nokia PureBook Fold. All three computers were released in 2022, and the Lyon-based company hasn't released a new product since then. At the moment, the company's official website seems to have been taken down.
Off Global is one of many licensees that have either ended their Nokia licensing deal or shut down. The list also includes RichGo which launched Nokia-branded audio products, and StreamView which sold Nokia TVs and streaming devices.
Flipkart still seems to have an on-going Nokia license as it still launched a Nokia smart TV last December, although it hasn't announced a Nokia-branded laptop in recent times. HMD still has a Nokia license set to expire next year. However, the Finnish company no longer manufactures Nokia smartphones and tablets but still makes Nokia feature phones.
