It seems that the launches of OnePlus' new 'affordable' flagships is right around the corner. While OnePlus has not confirmed anything just yet, the OnePlus 13R is widely assumed to be joining the OnePlus 13 on January 7 during a global launch event as successors to the OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 12 (curr. $819 on Amazon), respectively.
Fresh information about the OnePlus 13R has now emerged online though, which is expected to line up in China as the Ace 5. For reference, the Ace 5 will be arriving before the OnePlus 13R does with the Ace 5 Pro in tow. Based on the image embedded below, the Ace 5 series, and the OnePlus 13R by extension, will contain the following hardware:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
- 1.5K display, 120 Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, full DC dimming
- 6,400 mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery
- G1 'gaming' Wi-Fi antenna system
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro has also be recently spotted during a gaming event in China. Similarly, Paras Guglani has shared a promotional render of the OnePlus 13R. Based on this image, it appears that the OnePlus 13R will carry across the colour options of the Ace 5 rather than the Ace 5 Pro. Either way, all leaked photos point towards the Ace 5 series and OnePlus 13R featuring three rear-facing cameras just like the more expensive OnePlus 13.
