When the OnePlus 13 launches in January 2025 for global markets, it will not be the only new product OnePlus will unveil. The Chinese manufacturer has revealed that its flagship earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, will also be getting a refresh.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 was first announced in late August, sporting a redesigned case and a number of upgrades. When it launched, it was available in two colors — Midnight Opus and Lunar Radiance. OnePlus has now announced that the earbuds will be getting a new colorway, and it will launch alongside the OnePlus 13.
We won't have to wait until January to see the new color as OnePlus already revealed it in marketing materials for its Winter Launch event. The new color, reportedly called Sapphire Blue, will have a two-tone finish like the other two color options currently available. It will keep the silver polished stems but sport a blue head with matching ear tips. The case is also shown to be a mix of blue and silver.
OnePlus hasn't chosen this color randomly as it is obvious it was designed to match the Midnight Ocean color variant of the OnePlus 13. The other two colors of the OnePlus 13 already match the existing colors of the OnePlus Buds Pro 3.
Save for the different colors, the new OnePlus Buds Pro 3 should retain the features of the other color options such as Bluetooth 5.4 with support for Bluetooth Multipoint, support for LHDC 5.0 codec, IP55 dust and splash resistance, Google Fast Pair with Find My, Zen Mode Air, Spatial Audio with head tracking, and up to 43 hours of battery life.
It should also retain the $179.99 launch price, although OnePlus is currently selling the Buds Pro 3 for $119.99 on its online store in celebration of its 11th anniversary. If you absolutely do not care for the new blue color, you should grab the earbuds at this discounted price. The cheaper OnePlus Buds 3 also comes in blue, albeit a different shade, and it is available on Amazon for $69.99.
