Redmi and OnePlus reportedly aiming for 7,000mAh battery phones

Many recently launched Chinese smartphones have batteries of around 6,000mAh. For example, the latest OnePlus 13 comes with a 6,000mAh battery capacity. Xiaomi, Vivo, and iQoo have also utilized larger batteries for their latest flagship phones. A new leak suggests that Chinese companies are considering even larger batteries for their upcoming phones. 

The leak comes from Digital Chat Station, a reputable leaker who has provided many accurate leaks. According to the tipster's latest post, the upcoming phones from Redmi and OnePlus will feature 7,000mAh batteries. Additionally, the leaker says that it is possible that phones with such large batteries also feature up to 100W fast charging.

The leaker has not disclosed the names of these phones. However, Redmi is expected to release its Turbo 4 smartphone soon. Meanwhile, OnePlus is set to launch the Ace 5 series on December 12 in China. Whether these models will include the rumored larger batteries or if they are slated for next year’s lineup remains uncertain.

In another post, the tipster also claimed that iQoo will launch a new mid-range phone with 7,000mAh capacity. Hence, we can expect a focus on larger batteries for many upcoming smartphones.
