The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro has yet to launch exclusive to the Chinese market as rumored, yet is portrayed as a mobile gaming powerhouse with the dedicated Fengchi co-processor to go with its cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
Accordingly, some high-performance Android smartphone fans might now be wondering why anyone in China would pick the pre-existing, non-Fengchi 13 over this upcoming alternative.
Digital Chat Station purports to have an answer: the 13 can be ordered with 24GB of RAM (an option now available in Europe through TradingShenzhen), whereas the Ace 5 Pro will not.
The typically reliable leaker now asserts that the latter will have 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage at best, as will the vanilla Ace 5.
Both smartphones are also now believed to launch with 12/256GB base models and 16GB versions of the same, although other Ace 5-series SKUs will have a less restrictive 512GB spec to go with either of those RAM options.
Accordingly, the "13R" (or predicted global edition of the Ace 5) will probably also be released as an up-to-16GB smartphone. Hopefully, it will also get at least one of the 512GB SKUs: its predecessor the 12R has no more than 256GB of fixed storage, not even when ordered directly through OnePlus.
