MediaTek is now believed to counter Qualcomm's supposedly upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with a corresponding sub-flagship SoC of its own. It will have a name reflecting that status, albeit not the one specified in an earlier leak. The new Dimensity 9000-series processor is thought to debut in a new Android smartphone from either Realme or OnePlus soon.

MediaTek is thought to have a flagship-series processor in the works - and it's not the 9400+, according to a new leak.

The regular scheduled Dimensity-series flagship refresh is thought to be joined by another chipset thought to be a new incremental step between the last-gen 9300+ and the current top-end 9400

Accordingly, it has been referred to as the "9350" in earlier tips, but is now believed to launch as the 9400e instead.

Should that be the case, it could be a "9300++" in terms of performance, and act as a direct rival to the Qualcomm "Snapdragon 8s Gen 4" that might feature in the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro.

The eminent leaker Digital Chat Station asserts that the Dimensity 9400e has been taken up by the brands Realme and OnePlus, and will be incorporated into new Android smartphones to be released later in 2025.

Accordingly, one of them could be a successor to the Ace 3V, and also debut with other flagship-killing perks such as 7,000mAh batteries and a 1.5K display.
