The Civi 5 Pro might not be the first smartphone from its parent corporation to rock the Snapdragon <strike>8s Elite</strike> 8s Gen 4: that honor is said to go to the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro instead.
There are hints that the former might be the lighter and thinner of the 2, suggesting that the 5 Pro is meant to comprise a 'stylish' take on the 8s Gen 4 as opposed to the 'performance'-based Turbo variant.
The Civi 5 Pro is also thought to have Xiaomi flagship-like Leica camera logos while the Turbo 4 Pro will not, with the possibility of a telephoto lens upgrade in the former (could it be a periscope zoom in 2025? Only time will tell.)
Ironically, the upcoming Civi-series flagship is also projected to pack a larger battery than that of its predecessor - which, given the 4,700mAh capacity of the 4 Pro (or 14 Civi for the Indian market), might be welcome.
Unfortunately, its wired charging technology will not get any faster to match, according to a new leak. It asserts that Xiaomi has certified the Civi 5 Pro as the 25067PYE3C with the same 67W spec as its forebear.
The 2 devices are also thought to launch with the same metallic frame and quad-curved display type, with the 5 Pro missing out on a more trend-conforming flat screen.
