RedMagic introduced its latest 10 Pro flagship as the "No Limits" gaming smartphone, mostly because it is the only one that cools the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with a miniature fan rated to go at up to 23,000 rpm.
It could be said that the 10 Pro is constrained in terms of where it can go, which includes nowhere near water as its open-vent design negates the IP68 ratings achieved by rivals such as the OnePlus 13.
A certain next-gen flagship smartphone with the same feature will finally make the upgrade to that level of ingress protection, according to the leaker Digital Chat Station.
The putative "RedMagic 11 Pro" could have competition from another smartphone OEM, however. It is reportedly about to break into the gaming smartphone space under its Oppo and/or OnePlus brands with similar features, an active spinning fan included.
The device could be released as part of the mid-range Oppo K series, which could allow it to undercut RedMagic (even though the 10 Pro now ships from Amazon for as little as $749).
Oppo is also reportedly developing a mobile gaming screen that could outstrip even the 144Hz 10 Pro at the even higher refresh rate of 165Hz, not to mention shoulder buttons like those of the new RedMagic 10 Air.
The identity of this super-fast display smartphone remains a mystery for now, although OnePlus is also now said to be about to launch a new Ultimate Edition of its high-performance Ace 5 smartphone.
