The RedMagic Nova was the first tablet to launch with Qualcomm's then flagship chipset last year. Originally called the Gaming Tablet Pro when released in China last September, Nubia adopted the 'Nova' branding a month later for the tablet's global launch. While the RedMagic Nova (curr. $649 on Amazon) remains one of the most powerful tablets around, it has since been surpassed by the Oppo Pad 4 Pro in terms of raw performance.
Nonetheless, it seems that the Oppo Pad 4 Pro will soon be joined by a new RedMagic rival. Initially, it seemed that Nubia would present a new RedMagic gaming tablet today alongside the RedMagic 10 Air that is now available. To that end, the company suggested as much before its online launch event, which did not escape fans on Weibo.
Unfortunately, RedMagic is still keeping its next gaming tablet under wraps for the time being. As of today, the company has only showcased a silhouette of the device, evidence of which we have embedded below. Based on recent rumours, RedMagic's next tablet will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset like the Oppo Pad 4 Pro.
However, the device is expected to feature a smaller display than the Pad 4 Pro, which spans 13.2-inches diagonally. In comparison, Digital Chat Station asserts that RedMagic's tablet will feature an 8.8-inch IPS panel with a 3K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Dual speakers and dual-axis motors should be onboard, albeit with a circa 7,500 mAh battery. As it stands, RedMagic's next gaming tablet appears destined to launch next month in China.
