OnePlus Ace 6 tipped to launch with massive battery upgrade
The Ace 6 is already thought to break OnePlus display refresh rate records with a 165Hz screen on its debut. Now, it is also now backed to have what might be the brand's biggest smartphone battery on that date.
The OnePlus 15 is already tipped to have a ~7,000mAh battery, but the Ace 6 might have one closer to 8,000mAh in capacity, according to the leaker Smart Pikachu.
It is believed to make the upgrade (from 6,415mAh in the Ace 5) in order to keep up with its "twin" from Realme, the GT 8.
That might imply that both smartphones will be flagship killers with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC rather than the Elite 2 that should be available from September 2025 for devices like the OnePlus 15.
The 15R might also have that spec in common with the Ace 6, although whether it could bring the same battery boost to the rest of the world or not remains to be seen.
