The OnePlus 13R made its global debut in January as a more affordable option to the flagship OnePlus 13. The successor to the OnePlus 13R is expected to be called the OnePlus 15R. This is due to the number 14 carrying a negative connotation in Chinese culture. Currently, there is no official information regarding the upcoming device. However, a new leak has surfaced online, revealing the key specifications of the OnePlus 15R.
The leak comes from @Gadgetsdata on the social media site X. The tipster claims the OnePlus 15R will feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. The main display upgrade is expected to be the jump to a 165Hz refresh rate, up from 120Hz on the previous model. The phone is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is a flagship SoC that has powered phones such as the OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15, and iQoo 13.
The OnePlus 15R is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup, including a primary, ultrawide, and telephoto lens. Another highlight of the phone is said to be a large battery rated over 7,000mAh. The phone may feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The tipster claims the phone could feature a metal frame.
The OnePlus 15 and 15R are expected to launch in the global market in early 2026. For reference, the OnePlus 13R features a 6.78-inch OLED panel. It utilizes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
