The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, if a recent leak is accurate) appeared on Geekbench a few days ago. While its performance wasn't epoch-breaking, it was because the chip was throttled. Now, we get to see it again alongside the OnePlus 15 (OnePlus PLK110).
Unfortunately, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 sample performs worse than it did in its last showing, with a single-core score of 639 and a multi-core score of 1,871. The OnePlus 15 sample in question has 16 GB of RAM and is running Android 16.
A peek at Geekbench's backend reveals the chip is running at a measly 750 MHz, well below its rated peak clock speed of 4,610 MHz. It is likely to be running in a highly power-restricted environment. That said, there's a non-zero chance of the listing being fake.
Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2/Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 between September 23 and 25 next month. The OnePlus 13 was released in China in late October, and the OnePlus 15 is expected to follow suit around the same time.
