Xiaomi has only released 1 smartphone with the same form-factor as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Motorola Razr+ 2024 thus far - however, it is apparently so popular, particularly in its native China, that it merits a second generation.
The foldable device has "sold so well", according to legendary leaker Digital Chat Station, that its successor is likely to have "major" iterative upgrades that include Qualcomm's latest, full-fat Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
It might be one of a dwindling number of clamshell foldable smartphones with such high-end specs, with others such as the "Vivo X Flip 2" reportedly bowing out in 2025.
Nevertheless, the "Mix Flip 2" is tipped to launch in the first half of the year, thereby hinting that it might be on the market before Samsung's next Galaxy Z Flip or Motorola's next Razr.
Meanwhile, the Razr+ 2024 is still $799.99 on Amazon.
