Reports that Xiaomi had certified the 25042PN24C to use 90W charging (like the Xiaomi 15) led to speculation that the device would launch as the OEM's second-gen clamshell-style Android smartphone.
The Mix Flip 2 is thought to launch as Xiaomi's only foldable handset of 2025, although it is backed to have top-end specs such as a periscope zoom rear camera and the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
It may not have faster charging than the original Mix Flip after all, as it has now been registered as the 2505APX7BC instead with the same 67W standard as its forebear, according to the influential leaker Digital Chat Station.
As for the 25042PN24C, it might be another supposedly upcoming smartphone such as the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, which might also have a far larger battery than the Mix Flip 2.
Then again, the latter is also thought to have top-end technology such as the ultrawide-band wireless connectivity, also used in iPhones for the most precise form of Find My tracking.
It is also thought to have a different look than its potential Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 (now starting at $947.99 on Amazon) rival thanks to a new, curved cover screen.
