With XRing O1 and adjacent products like the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra now out of the way, it appears Xiaomi's next port of call will be its foldable device for the year, the Mix Flip 2.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the Mix Flip 2 will be one in a slew of Xiaomi devices lined up to launch next month. The leaker effectively confirms that the clamshell-style foldable will launch in June, along with other Xiaomi products like the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition and the much-rumored Redmi compact gaming tablet. We should point out, though, that the Mix Flip 2 is unlikely to be presented at the same event as the Redmi models.
The Mix Flip 2 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite, giving it an advantage over its close rival, the Galaxy Z Flip7. That phone will make its debut in July and is widely reported to be powered by an Exynos 2500, with recent benchmark results from the pair indicating performance worse than the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The Mix Flip 2 will, as previously reported, be Xiaomi's only foldable phone this year, with plans of a larger foldable succeeding the Mix Fold 4 completely off the cards for now.
