Minisforum is expanding its mini PC lineup with the NAB9 Plus, which was officially announced last month but has now launched on Amazon as well. It’s listed for a price of $579, but a $116 coupon takes that price down to a more reasonable $463. This offer is sold by a third-party marketplace seller, but shipped directly by Amazon.
In this particular case, the NAB9 Plus is equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900HK, which may not be the latest chipset but still offers lots of performance. Unsurprisingly, the compact chassis doesn't have enough space for a dedicated graphics card, but an external GPU can be hooked up via OCuLink. This port is primarily designed for connecting an external graphics card, which has to be bought separately.
For the aforementioned price, the Minisforum mini PC comes with 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Aside from the OCuLink port, numerous other ports are available. On the front, there are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack. On the back, there are two Ethernet ports with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbit/s, in addition to DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1 and USB 4. A total of three monitors can be used simultaneously, and two USB 2.0 ports are also available. Lastly, the NAB9 Plus is powered via a barrel connector or USB PD, and WiFi and Bluetooth are both onboard as well.
