Aoostar has made the GT37 available for pre-order, and while it's a slightly better-specced mini PC than the Minisforum EliteMini AI370, Aoostar's latest release is cheaper. More specifically, the AI370 with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage goes for $1,099, while the new GT37 with the same amount of memory and storage is on pre-sale for $879.
As for what makes the Aoostar GT37 slightly better specced than the Minisforum EliteMini AI370, it's the OCuLink port. It makes Aoostar's new Strix Point mini PC a better pick for eGPU setups. But then again, thanks to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU inside, most users may not find the need to use that port.
This Strix Point APU features the Radeon 890M, which we found to be quite capable of handling most AAA games at 1080p with the medium preset. Aoostar highlights that the Strix Point APU is paired with the Ice Glacier Cooling 3.0, and it promises stable performance under heavy loads.
Besides the OCuLink port, the Aoostar GT37 also has a USB4 port, which expands compatibility with eGPUs (GMKtec AD-GP1 curr. $469.99 on Amazon). The other ports of this new mini PC are:
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x DisplayPort 2.1
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 2x 2.5 GbE Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
For wireless connectivity, the mini PC sports WiFi 7, but Aoostar didn't specify whether there's Bluetooth. Design-wise, the GT37 sports a sleek metal chassis that's said to be 11.2 cm wide and 6 cm tall. Other highlights of the system include two PCIe 4.0 slots, 8,000 MHz RAM, and support for triple display output. Check out the images attached below to learn more.
