IKEA could be about to announce a partnership with Apple. The company recently teased the upcoming news on social media with a picture (above) showing the IKEA logo, a heart and an apple which has been bitten.
In a comment on social media, IKEA said that it was looking forward to sharing the news about “something that is especially dear to us at IKEA”. The company also said that it was a “topic that affects us all”, and that it demonstrates “how much value is in seemingly small things”. The only other hint we have so far is the word ÄPPLE, shared in a press release, but this is just the Swedish word for the fruit.
While the bitten apple is reminiscent of the Apple logo, and the Äpple name also hints at a collaboration with the technology company, IKEA has not confirmed that this is the case. Many fans speculate that the news could be linked to IKEA’s smart home range, following on from the brand’s announcement in July 2025 that it would be releasing more than 20 Matter-compatible smart home products in early 2026. As a reminder, IKEA smart home customers are already able to connect the IKEA Home Smart app to Apple Home.
Alternatively, it could be that IKEA is planning to release some new charging accessories designed for Apple products like the iPhone. These would join existing products like the Sjöss 45W charger. We will only have to wait for a few more days to see whether this is a genuine partnership between the two brands, or some other apple-related announcement, as IKEA has confirmed that it will reveal all on October 30th.
