Xiaomi has updated its sub-flagship smartphone series with the Xiaomi 15T Pro, which is available to order in Europe from today. In short, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is the first in the series to offer a periscope telephoto camera. However, the Xiaomi 15T Pro surpasses the Xiaomi 14T Pro in other areas too, like five years of OS updates from HyperOS 2 and a sixth year of Android security patches.
For instance, this year's model moves up to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus. The same chipset found in the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and the smaller Galaxy Tab S11 (curr. $859.99 on Amazon), the Dimensity 9400 Plus outperforms the Dimensity 9300 Plus by a wide margin in most CPU and GPU benchmarks. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15T Pro has a 10% larger battery than its predecessor. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has paired this 5,500 mAh battery with weaker 90 W wired charging.
Additionally, Xiaomi has switched to a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, which delivers a 144 Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, a 2,772 x 1,280-pixel resolution and a 447 PPI. On top of that, Xiaomi has equipped the Xiaomi 15T Pro with the following camera hardware:
- Primary: Light Fusion 900, 50 MP, f/1.62 aperture, OIS, 23 mm equivalent focal length
- Telephoto: Samsung ISOCELL JN5, 50 MP, f/3.0 aperture, 5x zoom, 115 mm equivalent focal length
- Ultra-wide-angle: 12 MP, 120° FoV, f/2.2 aperture, 15 mm equivalent focal length
- Front-facing: 32 MP, 90° FoV, f/2.2 aperture
The Xiaomi 15T Pro starts today for €799 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device will be available for €899 with 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage or 512 GB of storage after October 10. All orders placed between today and October 10 will also receive a complimentary Sound Party speaker. Once Xiaomi's pre-order period ends, the Xiaomi 15T Pro will cost up to €999 when configured with 1 TB of storage.
