A new leak has revealed key specs of an upcoming smartphone from HMD. Codenamed Lord Chaos, the phone is reported to have a 144Hz OLED display, a Snapdragon 7 series processor, Qi 2 support, and the fastest wired charging speed on an HMD-branded device.

HMD's most recent phone is the HMD Touch 4G, a compact all-screen feature phone exclusive to India. While leaks have revealed interesting details about HMD's second-gen modular smartphone, the Fusion 2, there's still no info as to when it will be announced. Another leak has surfaced, revealing key specifications of yet another smartphone that might launch as a premium mid-range device.

The identity of the upcoming smartphone is unknown, but according to HMD_MEME's (@smashx_60), it seems to go by the codename “Lord Chaos”. Nevertheless, when it arrives, it will have some pretty decent specifications, such as an OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. Currently, the HMD Skyline (available on Amazon for $409.94) is the only phone from the manufacturer with a 144Hz display.

HMD's “Lord Chaos” will be powered by a 4nm Qualcomm processor with a 2.8GHz clock speed and an Adreno 722 GPU. These details match the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor announced earlier in May 2025 and found in phones such as the Realme 15 Pro 5G. HMD will pair the processor with 12GB of RAM and an unspecified amount of UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone will also feature a 108MP primary rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery, support for 65W fast wired charging, and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. The device will support Qi2 wireless charging like the HMD Skyline, and ship with Android 16 out of the box.

There are speculations that this might be the HMD Skyline 2 or the rumored HMD Skyline 2 GT. However, a previous leak revealed a different set of specifications for both devices.
