The HMD Touch 4G is the latest feature phone from the Finnish manufacturer. Now available in India, it drops the alphanumeric keypad of HMD's (and Nokia) previous feature phones for an all-screen design, but retains the affordable price tag.

HMD has launched a new phone earlier than anticipated which it says blurs the line between feature phones and smartphones. Called the HMD Touch 4G, the new device is an all-screen compact phone with an affordable price tag.

Available in Dark Blue and Cyan, the HMD Touch 4G looks like a shrunk HMD Skyline. It has a flat display surrounded by a chunky forehead and chin, with the latter housing a pill-shaped button. The sides are curved while the top and bottom are flat. On the back is a centered cookie-shaped camera island that houses a single sensor and LED flash.

The spec sheet says it measures 102.3 × 61.85 × 10.85 mm and it weighs 100 grams. This makes it a bit taller than the Motorola Razr Ultra (curr. available on Amazon for $999.99) when folded.

With respect to specs, the HMD Touch 4G has a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with a QVGA resolution and a 2.5D glass covering it. It is powered by the Unisoc T127 processor, the same chip inside the HMD 105 4G. It is paired with 64MB of RAM and a measly 128MB of storage. Thankfully, there's a MicroSD card slot for adding up to an additional 32GB of storage.

For cameras, buyers will get a 0.3MP front-facing camera and a 2MP sensor on the back. The HMD Touch 4G also has Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, dual SIM support (nano only), an FM radio, GPS, a headphone jack, a USB-C port, and a single speaker and microphone. It packs a 1,950mAh battery, which HMD says should provide up to 30 hours of use. It is also rated IP52 for dust and water resistance.

HMD ships the Touch 4G with a custom operating system it calls RTOS Touch, and it comes with what is called Cloud Phone Service. This provides users with cloud-hosted browser shortcuts to news, games, and other important information.

It also comes with an app called Express Chat that supports text and voice messaging as well as video calling. Users will be able to record a voice message by holding the Quick Call button at the top of the device. The Express Chat app can also be downloaded on Android and iOS devices from the Play Store and App Store respectively.

The HMD Touch 4G is available to buy now directly from HMD for ₹3,999 (~$45/€39). It comes with a charger and a protective case included in the box.
