YouTuber Ben Sin has provided the first independent hands-on look at the iKKO Mind One, which arrived roughly a month ago on Kickstarter. To recap, the Mind One is one of the more unusual smartphones that has debuted lately.
Measuring in at just 86 x 72 x 8.9 mm with a 4.02-inch display, the Mind One is about the size of a Motorola Razr 60 Ultra or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 (curr. $1,049.99 on Amazon) when closed. Additionally, the device features a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset mated to 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of built-in storage at its disposal.
Based on Sin's video, one can switch easily between iKKO AI OS and a relatively stock Android 15 experience via a shortcut integrated within the Mind One's power menu. At this stage, it seems unclear why iKKO decided to segment its AI features within a separate operating system, particularly given that iKKO AI OS still runs Android apps.
Regardless, Sin clarifies that only the Pro variant ships with sapphire glass, free AI features and iKKO's vSIM that provides LTE connectivity across around 140 countries. At the time of publication, only the Pro variant is available to back on Kickstarter for $369, though.
