Xiaomi has started rolling out a new software update for the cheapest member in the Poco F7 series. Arriving at the end of June as a cheaper alternative to the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra (curr. $795 on Amazon), the Poco F7 combines a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with Sony's IMX882 sensor as its 50 MP primary camera.
Now, Xiaomi has delivered HyperOS 2.0.102.0 across multiple markets with the promise of several camera improvements deriving from community feedback. For instance, Xiaomi claims to have refined HDR control to reduce overexposure and more accurately represent brighter elements in a scene. The same update is said to have also improved colour reproduction accuracy and detail retention in various lighting conditions.
Moreover, Poco F7 owners should notice more life-like landscape images and shots dominated by green hues after applying HyperOS 2.0.102.0. Likewise, the update should enhance portrait photos by adopting more natural skin tones, among other ancillary improvements. Allegedly, HyperOS 2.0.102.0 optimises thermal management as well, which theoretically prevents thermal throttling under consistent load.
