The Poco F6, which received a lot of praise for its price-performance ratio in our detailed review, is currently getting a new, global software update in version 2.0.10.0.VNPINXM. According to user reports, however, is not yet available for all users, so it is very likely that the update will also only be rolled out in waves and thus gradually. Several improvements and new functions are advertised.
The animations are said to be significantly improved. If apps are now closed and opened quickly, several animations run at the same time, which is intended to provide a better user experience. This is primarily intended for users who (can) use their smartphone very quickly. On Reddit, one user has already commented positively on these changes; specifically, the animations reportedly run much more smoothly than before. The full screen indicator is now supposed to follow the movement of the window.
If the search bar on the home screen is omitted, apps can be arranged in different layout, namely in a 4 x 6 app grid. The flashlight has also received improvements and a new function. Users are no longer limited to simply switching the flashlight on and off, but can now adjust the brightness. According to the changelog, the use of a notification spotlight for the flashlight is now also possible.
The smallest configuration of the Poco F6 (256GB/8GB) is currently available at Amazon for $355.
