Xiaomi Poco F7 series set to launch shortly but an omission could be on the cards
Much has been said about the Poco F7 series in previous reports, but it now appears Xiaomi is finally set to launch the new devices globally, with new leaks hinting at an imminent debut.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi is readying the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra for a global launch event. While the leaker doesn't provide specific launch info, another leak claims the phones are being prepped to debut at the end of March. That would be ahead of typical schedule, however; the only phone in the series to launch as early as March was the Poco F3—with most other entries arriving in May.
Interestingly, both leaks only make mention of the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra, potentially hinting at the lack of a Poco F7. For what it's worth, this wouldn't be the first time Xiaomi has eschewed the release of a vanilla model, as it only launched the Poco F2 Pro back in 2019.
It's important to note, though, that previous Xiaomi database listings revealed model numbers for the global and Indian versions of a Poco smartphone based on the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. Said device was initially assumed to be the Poco F7, but that may not be the case after all.
