The Poco F7 Ultra is poised for a global launch, just like the Poco F6 and Poco F6 Pro (curr. $450 on Amazon) last year. The Poco F7 Ultra will not be an entirely new device though, which is also true of its predecessors. Incidentally, this is expected to apply for the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Pro too.
Instead, a recent regulatory filing suggested that the Poco F7 Ultra would arrive as a re-branded Redmi K80 Pro sporting its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. According to a new firmware leak, this is an accurate representation of what the Poco F7 Ultra will eventually become, although it is unclear when at this stage. Specifically, 91mobiles alleges that Poco F7 Ultra references can be found in recent Redmi K80 Pro firmware, evidence of which we have embedded below.
As expected, the firmware links to the name 'Poco F7 Ultra' to the model number '24122RKC7G'. The code snippets also mention the codenames 'miro' and 'miro_global' for the Poco F7 Ultra, emphasising that it is a variant of another device. Assuming the Poco F7 Ultra takes after the Redmi K80 Pro in full, then it should complement its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with other hardware like a 6,000 mAh battery and a Light Hunter 800 primary camera. Please see our Redmi K80 Pro launch article for more details about what the Poco F7 Ultra could have in store when it debuts later this year.
