The Poco F6, also known as the Redmi Turbo 3 in China, was launched earlier this year as a mid-range smartphone. The phone's highlight was its high performance thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Since the Redmi Turbo 3 was rebranded as Poco F6 for the global market, we expect the Turbo 4 to launch as Poco F7 globally. The latest leak gives us a first look at the new design of the upcoming phone.
The leak comes from the Chinese social media site Weibo revealing a potential design of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 4, which, as previously mentioned, is likely to be launched as the Poco F7 internationally. The leaked image reveals a vertically aligned dual rear camera setup. On the front, a flat display is visible with small bezels and a punch-hole notch similar to the predecessor.
The phone is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8400 chip. This chipset has not been released yet. However, it is expected to be a 4nm chip with Immortalis-G720 MC7 GPU. Additionally, the phone may feature an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a large battery with 90W fast charging support.
Regarding the launch timeframe, the Turbo 4 was expected to be released in December. However, the latest report suggests that the launch has been postponed and the phone may launch in January for the Chinese market.
The Poco F6 was announced a month after the Redmi Turbo 3's launch. Hence, it is possible that the Poco F7 will be announced sometime in February for the global market.
