The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion was one of Motorola's highlights last year, and now a leak has revealed what its successor, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion looks like. Based on the leaked images, Motorola has made a key design change, one that can even be termed misleading.
Based on official renders of the upcoming Motorola Edge 60 Fusion shared by Evan Blass on X, the phone will retain the curved front and curved back of its predecessor. It will also have a centered hole punch for the front-facing camera, and a microphone and Dolby Atmos branding at the top. The main design change the Edge 60 Fusion brings is on the back.
Unlike the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion (curr. available on Amazon for $289.93) which has a moderately-sized rectangular camera island that houses two rear cameras and a pill shaped LED flash, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has a squircle camera island that is much larger. While it appears as if the phone now has three rear cameras, it actually still has just two. The LED flash now sits inside a sensor-like housing while the one at the bottom left has been added for symmetry.
The primary rear camera is a 50MP Sony Lytia sensor like the previous generation but it isn't known if anything else has changed. The second camera should have an ultrawide angle lens, and like that of the Edge 50 Fusion, it should have autofocus and support for shooting macro images.
The specs of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion are currently unknown. However, based on its predecessor we can expect it to have an OLED display with a high refresh rate, IP68 dust and water resistance rating, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and fast wired charging.
What we do know is that the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will be available in at least three colors with different finishes. The Rose Blush and Michigan Blue (not official names) have a vegan leather finish while the Peacock Blue variant has a fabric-like finish. All three have the familiar Motorola batwing logo on the rear.
