Earlier this week, Xiaomi released four new Poco-branded devices globally across its smartphone and tablet divisions. At launch, the company was rather vague about the software that either the Pad M1 or Pad X1 ran out of the box. By contrast, it had indicated that the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra would ship with HyperOS 3, which a new official Rollout Schedule somewhat contradicts.
For context, Xiaomi published a global HyperOS 3 Rollout Schedule at the end of September during its Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro launch event (curr. $882 on Amazon). With that release plan now outdated, GSMArena has provided evidence of a Poco-specific one that Xiaomi shared when publicly unveiling its new Poco devices. Embedded below, the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra have been bumped above their peers officially, despite the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Pro having already picked up HyperOS 3 in the last week or so.
Thus, we would not rule out Xiaomi offering HyperOS 3 as a day-one patch for both devices. Meanwhile, the Pad M1 and Pad X1 are set to remain on HyperOS 2 builds until March 2026 at the earliest. As far as we can tell, Xiaomi has not changed the rollout timings of the other nineteen Poco devices that were already guaranteed to receive HyperOS 3 upgrades.
