Samsung is not due to replace the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $899 on Amazon) until the end of the February 2026. Nonetheless, new information continues to emerge about the state of the company's next flagship. One of the primary sources in this regard so far has been Ice Universe, who has now offered a fresh detail about what the Galaxy S26 Ultra could look like.
For context, the same X account reported a week ago that Samsung's ongoing cost-cutting would claim another victim when it comes to potential Galaxy S26 Ultra upgrades. Conversely, a more recent rumour suggested that Samsung's next Ultra-branded smartphone will launch with the first battery capacity improvement in five years. According to Ice Universe, some Galaxy S26 Ultra models may look a touch old-fashioned compared with to their predecessors, though.
Writing on X, the popular account indicates that Samsung will offer standard black models with a black frame this time around. Apparently, this switch from light silver will 'inevitably' make the display bezel look wider on the Galaxy S26 Ultra without any hardware changes. Ultimately, this is subjective and will depend on how deep Samsung goes with its black finish.
Using the Titanium Jetblack version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra sold only on Samsung as a reference, the black bezel will not look any more imposing on the black version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra than on any other models. However, we would recommend reserving judgment until all of Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra colour options appear early next year.
