After weeks of teasers, OnePlus has launched the Ace 6T in China. It's the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, an SoC that sits just below the current top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The smartphone also happens to be the first from the company that features an 8,300 mAh battery.
This large battery supports 100 W fast charging, which is said to allow the battery of the Chinese OnePlus 15R to go from 1% to 50% in 23 minutes (Ugreen Nexode 100 W GaN charger curr. $39.99 on Amazon). There's support for bypass charging and wired reverse charging as well.
To keep the system cool, OnePlus says that it has integrated a capable vapor cooling setup that's capable of offering a total heat dissipation area of 43,940 mm². This setup, according to the company, allows the Ace 6T to stay around 2° cooler than the competition during heavy gaming.
Speaking of which, the company also touts having integrated many gaming enhancements into the Chinese OnePlus 15R. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, for example, is paired with G2 WiFi and a dedicated Touch Response Chip, and this combo promises a smooth competitive gaming experience.
Moreover, the display of the Ace 6T aims to deliver a highly responsive experience with its 165 Hz refresh rate and 3,200 Hz touch sampling rate. OnePlus adds that this screen has a flagship-like configuration, including Rain Touch 2.0 tech for better touch response when the screen is wet, and a "flagship" ultrasonic fingerprint reader for fast unlocks.
Other highlights of the phone include a dual camera setup on the rear with a 50 MP primary sensor, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and support for WiFi 7. In China, the Ace 6T has a pre-sale starting price of CNY 2,599, about $367. The phone will launch as the OnePlus 15R in the global market on December 17, 2025.
