Huawei has announced the Nova 15 series lineup in China with a new dual-ring design. The Nova 15 series consists of a total of three models, including the Nova 15, the Nova 15 Pro, and the Nova 15 Ultra. The top-end model features a 120 Hz OLED display, three 50 MP RYYB sensors, and Huawei’s new in-house Kirin 9010S chipset.

Huawei has unveiled its next-generation Nova 15 series smartphones in China. The company has introduced three models under its mid-range-focused Nova 15 series, which includes the Nova 15, the Nova 15 Pro, and the Nova 15 Ultra. Huawei brings notable upgrades to the Nova 15 Ultra in terms of design, chipset, battery, and cameras.

Speaking more precisely, the 15 Ultra now features a new dual-ring design. For photography, it offers a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP OIS-enabled primary lens, a 50 MP telephoto periscope lens with 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter with a 118° field of view. Upfront, you get a pill-shaped 50 MP selfie camera complemented by a 1.5 MP multispectral sensor.

The Nova 15 Ultra is powered by Huawei’s new in-house Kirin 9010S chipset, which delivers an 18% performance boost over the last-generation Kirin 8020 chipset, according to Huawei. Furthermore, it boasts a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED panel that outputs at 2856 x 1320 resolution with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits and a 1-120 Hz refresh rate. There’s Kunlun glass on top to protect the device against accidental falls and scratches.

A 6,500 mAh silicon carbon battery powers the entire unit and supports 100 W (Anker 160 W Prime GaN charger curr. at $107.49 on Amazon) wired and 50 W wireless charging. Other features include satellite connectivity, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Harmony OS 6.0, and IP68 and IP69 waterproof ratings.
