The Epic Games Store has now finished up its giveaway of Sorry We're Closed, an acclaimed survival title lauded for its arcade-style gameplay. Now, the storefront has pivoted to an open-world detective game that typically sells for $19.99 in the US.
Specifically, Epic Games has decided to give away Paradise Killer, which maintains a Very Positive rating on Steam. Meanwhile, the game also achieves 81/100 averages on OpenCritic and Metacritic with an 85% critics recommendation on the former aggregator. A single-player experience, Paradise Killer is said to offer partial Xbox controller support for controllers like the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 (curr. $59.99 on Amazon).
System requirements are on the lower side too, with 16 GB of RAM, a 3 GHz quad-core processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent GPU suggested as a recommended example system. For transparency's sake, Paradise Killer will remain on sale for $4.99 on Steam until January 5. Nonetheless, the game will be available to claim for free on the Epic Games Store until December 23 at 16:00 UTC. Please see the latter's store listing for more details.
