Earlier today, we reported that the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G had emerged on a German retailer website ahead of its official launch. Now, it is the turn of the Redmi Note 15 5G, which serves as a direct replacement for the Redmi Note 14 5G that Xiaomi released at the start of the year globally (curr. $299 on Amazon).
The latest leak takes the number of Redmi Note 15 series smartphones set for global releases to five. Specifically, the following devices have now appeared across European retailers in the last few weeks:
Fundamentally, the Redmi Note 15 5G contains the same hardware as the Redmi Note 15 that Xiaomi has offered in China since the end of August. For instance, Xiaomi also equips the former with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, as well as 6.77-inch AMOLED display that combines a 1080p resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Likewise, Xiaomi installs HyperOS 2 despite HyperOS 3 now being available. Conversely, the 178 g handset drops to a 5,520 mAh battery globally, as well as IP65 instead of IP68 certification against water ingress. Also, the camera hardware from the Redmi Note 14 5G returns, including its 108 MP and 1/1.67-inch primary sensor. Apparently, the Redmi Note 15 5G is already orderable with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage too for a reported €299 MSRP (~$350); whether Sim.de will ship units ahead of schedule is a direct question altogether, though.
