Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest Redmi Note 15 series smartphones in the global market. This time around, Xiaomi has launched a total of five smartphones under its Redmi Note 15 series lineup, which includes the Redmi Note 15 4G, the Note 15 5G, the Note 15 Pro 4G, the Note 15 Pro 5G, and the Note 15 Pro+ 5G. We already covered the Pro variants separately, and you can read about them here.
Speaking of base models, like last time, Xiaomi introduced the vanilla Redmi Note 15 in 4G as well as a 5G variant. However, both models have many similarities. For example, both devices have the same designs, displays, and cameras. The notable difference between them is the chipset and battery capacity. To be more exact, the 4G model features a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset and a 6,000 mAh battery, while the 5G variant ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a slightly smaller 5,520 mAh battery (20,000 mAh Ugreen Nexode 45 W power bank curr. at $28.49 on Amazon). As for charging speeds, the former supports 33 W and the latter comes with a faster 45 W charging speed.
For photography, the Redmi Note 15 and 5G features an OIS-enabled 108 MP primary camera. Furthermore, there’s an 8 MP ultrawide lens in the 5G model, while the 4G model comes with only a 2 MP depth lens. Upfront, you get a 20 MP shooter for capturing selfies and video chats. Both phones boast a curved 6.77-inch AMOLED display that delivers FHD+ resolution, a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As far as pricing and availability are concerned, the Redmi Note 15 5G starts at £199/€299 for the 6 GB + 128 GB model, and buyers can choose from glacier blue, mist purple, and black color options. On the other hand, the Note 15 4G starts at £179/€229 for the base 6 GB + 128 GB model and comes in blue, purple, forest green, and black colorways. Both smartphones will be available for pre-orders from January 5.
