Oppo has launched a new member in its mid-range A6 series lineup, the A6L. The company’s new smartphone is now officially available in China from online retailers and is priced at CNY 1,799 ($255) for a single 12 GB RAM + 256 GB internal storage. However, there’s no word on international availability yet. Interestingly, the Oppo A6L is a rebranded version of the A6 Max, which debuted back in August in China.
The rebranded version of the A6 Max brings the same core specs, including battery, display, and processor. Speaking more precisely, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with no room for storage expansion. It runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box. However, there’s no word on the software support from the brand.
For photography, you get a 50 MP primary camera paired with a 2 MP secondary camera. Upfront, there’s a 32 MP snapper for capturing selfies and video chats. Furthermore, it retains the same IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance rating from the A6 Max. Speaking about battery, the A6L boasts a large 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery with support for 80 W wired charging.
Dimensionally, it measures 7.7 mm (0.30 inch) in thickness and weighs around 198 grams (0.43 lbs). Other features include stereo speakers, an AM04 alloy frame, a built-in 5200 mm² VC vapor chamber, NFC support, and AI-based features such as AI object removal, AI upscaling, and AI motion blur detection.
