Motorola released the Edge 70 less than two months ago and only refreshed it with a Cloud Dancer finish last week. Nonetheless, plenty of information is already known about the company's forthcoming more premium option.
Initially, leaked benchmark data indicated that Motorola was developing the Edge 70 Ultra with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Then just last week, Android Headlines showcased the handset's design in two colour options. According to the same website, the Edge 70 Ultra is set to launch with a feature that almost all smartphones lack, too.
Specifically, Android Headlines now claims that the Edge 70 Ultra will follow the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Moto G Stylus (curr. $299 on Amazon) in offering native stylus support. At this stage, it is unclear whether the device will mirror those peers by integrating a built-in solution, though.
Moreover, Android Headlines expects Motorola to omit features like palm rejection and pressure sensitivity that Samsung includes in its S Pen styluses. Currently, Motorola is believed to be preparing the Edge 70 Ultra in early 2026. As a result, it could be the only high-end alternative to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is expected to land next February.
