ZPG A1 Unicorn: Pocket-sized retro gaming handheld now available for $130 in three colours to compete with Anbernic RG Cube and Powkiddy RGB30
Z-Pocket Game has begun selling the ZPG A1 Unicorn again, having briefly offered the gaming handheld last month in a single colour option. This time, it has expanded availability to three colour options, which it teased at the back end of last month. To recap, the ZPG A1 Unicorn features the following hardware:
- MediaTek Helio G99 chipset (2x Cortex-A75, 6x Cortex-A55, Mali-G57 MP2 GPU)
- 4-inch touchscreen display, 720 x 720 pixel resolution, 1:1 aspect ratio
- 4,500 mAh battery
- 18 W wired charging
- 6 GB RAM
- 128 GB storage
Additionally, Z-Pocket Game has included a MicroSD card reader, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm jack, as well as a pair of down-firing speakers. Moreover, the ZPG A1 Unicorn has two joysticks, two sets of shoulder buttons, an eight-way D-Pad and four function buttons. On top of that, the device features select, start and back/home buttons, although the pre-installed Android 13 image can be navigated via the display's touchscreen.
Currently, the ZPG A1 Unicorn is available in black, white, and pink finishes, all of which feature accented colour elements in one form or another. For now, all colour options can be picked up for $130.94 before factoring in shipping and import duties. Alternatively, Z-Pocket Game is also selling the gaming handheld with a protective bag for $143.62, which can be picked up separately for $12.67. In short, the ZPG A1 Unicorn falls between the official prices of the Anbernic RG Cube and Powkiddy RGB30 (curr. $123.89 on Amazon), which are its main rivals.
