A new Casio G-Shock MudMaster with a magma theme is rumored to be on the way. It is set to be a GWG-B1000 watch, a model which launched in October 2023. The initial launch included the GWG-B1000-1A, the GWG-B1000-3A and the GWG-B1000-1A4. This was followed in 2024 by a fourth model, the GWG-B1000EC-1A, which arrived as part of the Casio Emergency Colors collection.
Now, Geesgshock has revealed the model number of this new magma-themed watch: the GWG-B1000MG-1A9. The '1A9' section of the model number suggests that this product could have a black and orange, or a black and gold design, though the former seems more in line with the lava-related theme.
The Casio G-Shock GWG-B1000, also known as the GWGB1000, is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) watch with Bluetooth connectivity. It is shock resistant, vibration resistant and mud resistant, with extra module protection provided by the Carbon Core Guard structure. It is equipped with a compass, a barometer, an altimeter, and a thermometer. Other more regular tools include support for world time, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and a daily alarm. Plus, this model can display sunrise and sunset times, and its battery life is extended by Tough Solar charging.
According to the leaker, the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-B1000MG-1A9 will be released at some point in 2026, though the launch window remains unclear. The source also suggests that it could be priced between £700 and £800 (~$922 and $1,053). For context, the older models retail for £699 ($800). However, Casio has yet to officially acknowledge this Master of G-Land watch.
