The Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 watches have officially launched in Japan. Rumors about this new model started earlier this year, with the products unveiled by the brand earlier in November 2025.
You can now buy the Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000D-1 (silver and black, negative display), the GMW-BZ5000GD-9 (gold and black, positive display), and the GMW-BZ5000BD-1 (black and gold, negative display) watches at the brand’s online store in Japan. The GMW-BZ5000D-1 retails for ¥93,500 (~$605), with the other two versions priced at ¥102,300 (~$661). It is worth noting that the GMW-BZ5000BD-1 is currently listed as sold out on Casio’s website.
Casio’s G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 is a Full Metal watch with a stainless steel casing, measuring 49.3 x 43.6 x 13.0 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches), and a solid metal strap. The model is radio-controlled (Multiband 6), and Bluetooth connectivity brings Smartphone Link, with further settings and tools available through the Casio Watches app. Users can select two time zones, using the Home city/World time city swap function to quickly switch between them. Other tools include a countdown timer, a 1/100th second stopwatch and five daily alarms. Plus, you can choose between multiple layouts on the digital display.
These GMW-BZ5000 watches are also expected to be released in the UK at some point in November 2025, retailing for £569 to £619; the exact launch date for this market has yet to be announced. Details about a wider release in Europe or in North America have not been confirmed.
