Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 launching in UK soon at lower-than-expected price

Casio has confirmed that the three new G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 watches are launching in the UK in the near future. These products were officially unveiled earlier in November 2025, and they are already available to pre-order in Japan.

Casio has now listed the GMW-BZ5000D-1 (silver case and strap, negative display), the GMW-BZ5000BD-1 (black and cold case and strap, negative display), and the GMW-BZ5000GD-9 (gold case and strap, positive display) watches at its online store in the UK. The GMW-BZ5000D-1 will be priced at £569; this is £30 lower than the £599 price originally shown on the site, as reported by geesgshock on Instagram. Meanwhile, the GMW-BZ5000BD-1 and the GMW-BZ5000GD-9 are slightly more expensive at £619 each. The website lists them as a November 2025 release, though an exact launch date is not given. However, customers can use the “Available soon - sign up now” button on the product page to register for an email notification when they launch.

The GMW-BZ5000 is a Full Metal watch from the 5000 line, with a new design to reduce shock transmission. It has a stainless steel casing, measuring 49.3 x 43.6 x 13.0 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches), with a screw lock back and a steel strap. At the center of the watch is an MIP LCD display offering eight display options, with two number styles and four layouts. This radio-controlled (Multiband 6) watch supports Bluetooth connectivity for automatic time adjustments and other functionality via the Casio Watches app. On watch tools include the ability to switch between two chosen time zones, a stopwatch, a timer and multiple daily alarms. On top of this, there is an LED backlight to help you to read the display in low lighting, Tough Solar charging and 200 m water resistance.

This announcement goes against earlier rumors, which indicated that the GMW-BZ5000 watches would not be released internationally until early 2026. It remains to be seen when the Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000D-1, GMW-BZ5000BD-1 and GMW-BZ5000GD-9 watches could launch more widely in Europe, or in other markets like North America.
