RoboUP has announced the new Raccoon 2 SE Robot Mower, which will shortly begin crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Compared to the brand’s existing line-up, this will be a relatively affordable model. It is designed for smaller gardens, measuring under 500 m² (~5,380 ft²).
The Raccoon 2 SE uses a VSLAM and INS system to navigate your lawn; as such, users will not need to set up a boundary wire or RTK antennas. The robot will automatically map your lawn when you set it up, though there is also a manual mapping tool in the accompanying app, setting up to three zones. Plus, through the app, users can create a mowing schedule. The mower’s cutting width is 200 mm (~7.9 inches), and you can adjust the cutting height between 30 and 80 mm (~1.2 and 3.1 inches). This robot has a 5Ah battery, automatically recharging at its dock as needed. It should mow for around 150 minutes on a single charge, with a full recharge taking 70 minutes.
The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the RoboUP Raccoon 2 SE Robot Mower will launch on November 11. Backers will be offered a Super Early Bird price of $299/€299, which can be secured with a $20/€20 deposit. According to RoboUP, this is a 52% discount on the RRP, indicating that this model will retail for around $629/€629. This makes it far cheaper than the brand’s current entry-level model, the RoboUP T600 Robotic Lawnmower, which retails for €1,199 (curr. €699 at Amazon DE).
Customers in the US, the UK and the EU will be offered free shipping, with deliveries currently estimated for February 2026. However, it is worth bearing in mind that this date could be pushed back, and that there is no guarantee that backers will receive the product.
