Last year, Sunseeker announced that the company will enter the European market. At that time, the manufacturer also introduced the V3 series of camera-based robotic mowers as well as the X series, a range of RTK mower robots.
In 2026, several additional models are set to join the brand’s lineup. The manufacturer has already announced the Sunseeker S4 and also showcased it a few weeks ago at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Now, the official launch of this new robot mower appears to be imminent, as the Sunseeker S4 is already listed at some retailers, for example on Amazon. To be more exact, it’s listed for $1,599 and can be preordered now, but deliveries in the US market are not expected until March 10. It’s unclear if this is a discounted launch price or the regular MSRP.
However, it’s already clear that the Sunseeker does not rely on an RTK antenna and uses LiDAR instead. This follows a broader trend, as several other manufacturers are utilizing this technology, which is primarily known from robot vacuum cleaners. In the yard, brands like Dreame, Mova, Roborock, Navimow, and Ecovacs have already opted for LiDAR. Either way, Sunseeker combines the 360-degree LiDAR sensor in the S4 with an AI camera and calls it an "Allsense 3D Sensing System," which promises very accurate mapping and reliable obstacle avoidance.
In addition to radar-based automatic mapping with a "Drop to Go" feature, the Sunseeker S4 is designed for yards with up to 10,800 square feet or roughly 0.25 acres. It further offers features such as an edge-following mode for trimming borders and dual map storage for managing multiple lawn zones. Last but not least, it can handle slopes of up to 42% or 22 degrees.
