Segway launches new cheaper Navimow i2 AWD robot lawn mowers in more countries

The Segway Navimow i2 AWD series robot lawn mowers are now available in Europe. Already available to pre-order in the US, this model arrives alongside the Navimow i2 LiDAR series robotic mowers. The i2 AWD products are cheaper than the i2 LiDAR devices, with the company suggesting that they are “affordable”.
Rather than LiDAR, the Navimow i2 AWD robots use the brand’s EFLS NRTK system to navigate your lawn. This does not require the user to lay a boundary wire or to position antennas for an easier set-up experience. The model is equipped with the brand’s Xero-Turn AWD system, allowing the robot to make tight turns without damaging your lawn. Like the i2 LiDAR, it has a three-wheel drive system, allowing it to overcome slopes of up to 45% (24°). The third wheel is only activated as needed to conserve power. Plus, it has a traction control system (TCS) and an electronic stability control (ESC), helping it to move on slippery surfaces.
As with all models in Segway’s new Navimow line-up, the i2 AWD comes with various security features, like an alarm which can be triggered when the device is lifted off the ground, and the ability to track its GPS location; it is worth noting that GPS tracking requires a subscription, with customers offered a one-year free trial. The line-up includes four versions to cover different-sized areas: 500 m² (~5,400 ft²), 600 m² (~6,500 ft²), 800 m² (~8,600 ft²), and 1,000 m² (~10,800 ft²).
In Europe, you can now buy the Segway Navimow i205 AWD for €949 and the i206 AWD for €999. The Segway Navimow i208 AWD is more expensive at €1,099, while the range-topping Segway Navimow i209 AWD retails for €1,199.
