The Kärcher RVF 7 Comfort Extra robot vacuum has been released in Europe. This new model offers both vacuuming and mopping, and is equipped with AI technology, which is said to enhance its cleaning abilities.
The RVF 7 Comfort Extra is said to offer up to 10,000 Pa suction power to clean hard floors and carpets with a low pile. This is significantly lower than figures quoted by brands like Roborock, which claims its new Saros 20 Sonic robot vacuum delivers up to 35,000 Pa. However, this model comes with a roller mop, a system which is thought to be better than vibrating or rotating mop heads. The mop has a continuous supply of fresh water, with an internal wiping system to prevent dirt from spreading.
Using its camera system, Kärcher’s RVF 7 Comfort Extra is said to intelligently detect dirt and adjust its cleaning method as necessary. It navigates your home using a combination of the camera and a laser sensor. The model also comes with a multifunctional docking station, which can empty the robot’s dustbin and dirty water tank, and replenish the clean water supply. Plus, the roller mop is automatically washed with warm water and dried, ready for its next outing. Users can remotely control the robot via the brand’s app, adjusting cleaning settings, adding no-go zones to maps or creating a schedule.
You can now buy the Kärcher RVF 7 Comfort Extra robot vacuum and mop in countries like Spain and Germany for €1,299.99. It is unclear when this model will be released in other countries like the Netherlands and France.
