Tapo has finally released the C545D Outdoor Dual Lens Pan/Tilt Security Camera in the EU. This smart home device from the TP-Link sub-brand was unveiled in 2025, but has only recently become available to purchase in this region.
The Tapo C545D is an outdoor home security camera with dual 2K 3MP lenses. The upper wide-angle camera has a 165° field of view (FOV), while the lower camera can pan 360° and tilt up to 121°, with a 6 mm telephoto lens. This allows you to view two areas of your property simultaneously, or, in smart tracking mode, the pan/tilt lens can automatically pivot to track a moving object. Plus, there are full color and black and white IR night vision modes to choose between.
TP-Link’s Tapo C545D comes with a free AI detection tool, with users notified of an unidentified movement, or a human, pet or vehicle through the brand’s app. Another feature is two-way audio, thanks to an integrated speaker and microphone. The security camera offers both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, with captured footage stored locally on an up to 512 GB microSD card (not included), or in the cloud with a Tapo Care subscription. This model also supports Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Samsung SmartThings. On top of this, it has an IP66 Weather Resistance rating, making it suitable for all weathers.
You can now buy the Tapo C545D Outdoor Dual Lens Pan/Tilt Security Camera at Amazon in countries like Spain, Italy and Germany for €99.90. This product was also recently released in the UK, where it retails for £119.99. It is unclear when this new model could become available in other markets like the US.
